August, the traditional vacation month, has finally begun. We’ve been waiting for it for so long! We’re sure that you were just as eager to get to it and, if you haven’t left yet, we bet you’re simply counting the days until you’ll be relaxing in sun bed at the seaside. So we thought we’d help you escape at least for a couple of minutes in a daydream about the most popular beaches in Europe.

We already told you about the Greek Islands and it’s a fact that Santorini, Corfu, Crete, Mykonos and Rhodos are among the most popular holiday destinations. But now we’ll be talking about the other pieces of heavenly summer.

Nice seems to have some of the most beloved European beaches. True, we are talking about beaches with pebbles, not sand, and a lot of them are private, belonging to hotels and resorts, but there are also plenty of public beaches and the experience of the French shores is something worth trying at least once in a lifetime. Also stunningly beautiful in France: Cannes, Menton or Saint-Tropez.

Tenerife is surely a familiar name and the fame of this lovely spot in the Canary Islands is fully justified – golden beaches, calm crystal waters, steady wind. It’s the perfect spot for sunbathing, swimming, diving or windsurfing.

Marbella is not only famous for its lovely beaches, although they are indeed, and the resort really is a dream spot for tan and sports lovers. This bit of heaven on the Southern coast of Spain is much more – it is a glamorous space, cosmopolitan, and an oasis for casinos. Actually, it’s the perfect place for those who want to be seen.

Also in Spain and also perfect vacation spots are: Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Nerja, Ibiza. And close by, in Portugal, you’ll find in Lagos a couple of spectacular beaches, bordered by clear waters and stunning cliffs; oh, and you’ll get to see a nucleus of aquatic sports as well.

Where would you seat your tanning beds in a perfect holiday?
