Of course we couldn’t have missed the most important event of the year dedicated to furniture, especially since 2016 is the 55th edition of this international furniture event in Milan. But we know all too well that even the “regular” editions are wonderful, because all the important names in this branch, designers and manufacturers on the international market, gather here every year and show off their best fresh works during the event.
Basically, this is the place where innovation sparks and spreads in the world of furniture, so we couldn’t miss the opportunity of seeing for ourselves the latest trends, the newest technology, and also genuine samples of the future of this industry. In fact, you may remember that we were in Milan for the 2015 edition as well, and you also know by now that one of our key-principles is about being open towards novelty and constantly searching for remarcable pieces.
This year’s event was showing signs of being a very special edition even before it started, and it wasn’t only because it’s reaching an important milestone, but because it’s constantly expanding every year and it’s attracting more and more manufacturers from the international scene. Actually, this year there are far more foreign manufacturers than ever before, and considering that these are now about 30% of all exhibitors is a clear sign that Salone Internazionale del Mobile is shaping itself more and more into an international beacon.
The same idea arises also from the constantly increasing number of visitors (the 2015 edition managed to attract 310,840 visitors). And this year the Salone is also supporting an internationl exhibition for furnishing accessories, which means 1,300 exhibitors spread over 150.000 square meters.
So it’s pretty clear that here we always get the chance to see the big picture on where things are heading in the world of furniture and we always come back with fresh ideas, perfectly suitable for completing our Chairry portfolio and worthy of being spread on the Romanian market. And here are some of the models that caught our eyes in Milan (for more pictures keep watching our Facebook Page):
