Between the 5th and the 8th of May we joined the first edition of The Bucharest Coffee Festival, a event dedicated, of course, to coffee and one that is aiming to become in the near future a massive happening, just as there already are similar events in London, Istanbul, Amsterdam or New York. Thus, coffee lovers, whether they were well trained professionals in the art of coffee making or simply huge fans of the lovely drink that wakes us up every morning, gathered in the past couple of days at Crystal Palace Ballrooms, in the Bucuresti and Atena venues, in order to enjoy the strong aroma of a pure espresso, all sorts of spectacular demos or simply to talk to other connaisseurs.

We were happy to be a part of this first event and we are looking forward to future editions. We were there and the Chairry furniture was there as well, our chairs being the friendly hosts of so many warm conversations among coffee enthusiasts. We are looking forward to the next editions and we wouldn’t mind the challenge of having to bring an army of chairs for what we are sure is going to be a genuinely trademark event, bigger and bigger, more and more notorious.

But we also have to say that it was a huge pleasure to be there as simple visitators as well. We too are coffee lovers and the artistical demos with latte art and the special tastings really impressed us. And so did the performance of the very talented contestants in the National Barista and Brew Championship, a competition organized by our friends at SCAE Romania – the winners definitely deserve to represent us at the World Championship in Dublin, this June.

We hope you managed to be there as well, and if you didn’t… Well, we are sorry, but you missed quite a show and aromas that were simply hypnotic. But we have little doubt that you won’t get the chance to see this kind of event in the near future. Until then here are a couple of pictures:
